Course Description
Students will begin to study poetry by reading, comprehending, analyzing, and critiquing three poems. They will also compare and contrast lyric poems to narrative poems. The three poems they will focus on are "The Geese" by Richard Peck, "Jimmy Jet and His TV Set" by Shel Silverstein, and "The Walrus and the Carpenter" by Lewis Carroll.
